Performance Studies international (PSi) is home to many communities that create, extend and enrich vital international relationships. These communities of exchange take many forms, such as the PSi Working Groups, the PSi Future Advisory Board (FAB), and the PSi Institutional Members among other ad hoc and emerging clusters.
PSi Constellate first happened as a series of web-based events in 2021 when we could not gather because of the mobility restrictions of the pandemic. A second edition ran in 2025 as a space for greater member engagement in between the annual conferences. PSi Constellate 2026 continues this program to enable a flexible framework for knowledge exchange, action responses, and other activities of PSi’s various communities, revealing constellations of shared interest, opportunity and interaction. Among the definitions of ‘constellate’ is ‘to join luster; to unite (several shining bodies) in one illumination.’
The program for PSi Constellate 2026 shall be distributed and evolving, a ‘living document’ that will be updated on an ongoing basis as events are finalized and as new groups opt to ‘join luster.’ We are looking to have monthly events from April to December 2026.
We invite proposals for new or already planned events for inclusion in the PSi Constellate 2026 program. The events may be purely online or hybrid ones, i.e., onsite events with an online streaming component, ideally lasting for 1.5 hours (may be longer) and scheduled during time slots that would work across as many time zones as possible. These events may be new ones to be organized purposely for Constellate 2026; they may also be events already set to happen at your institutions
or with your groups, but which you wish to share with a broad online audience within PSi. Event formats may range from a seminar with speakers, a workshop, a roundtable panel discussion, a performance lecture, or the streaming of an onsite meeting, conference session, or similar types.
Interested groups/individuals may submit proposals for new events or announcements of already planned activities (150-300 words in length) with an event title and description, including names of speakers and participants, organizer/s, proposed month/date and time (with time zone/s). Please submit using this link: PSi Constellate 2026 Proposal Form on or before 30 March 2026.
Small grants of 400 USD each can be used to pay for honoraria of speakers or other event expenses. Please email president@psi-web.org if interested. PSi shall also provide hosting and tech support on Zoom and assistance in curating the event.
We will have a rolling system for accepting proposals which means proposals received later than 30 March can still be considered as we build the program for the year, but the early submissions shall be considered for the small grants.
Most Constellate events are available at no cost for all PSi members, but participation in all Constellate activities requires PSi membership. Full membership information for PSi is available here: PSi Membership
Complete information on all activities shall be published in the Events Calendar section of the PSi site,
https://www.psi- web.org/events/, and circulated in PSi’s social media pages.
