Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are happy to announce the launch of the online research platform for the HydroArts project, an ANR-funded investigation exploring what we are calling an aquatic turn in the arts. As a multidisciplinary and international team, our goals involve documenting artworks and performances that engage with water as a creative partner (flooded stages, aquarium performances, underwater dance, ice puppets, etc.). Further information about the project, our team, corpus, collaborations, and bibliography can be found on our website www.hydroarts.org

We have two exciting webinars (free and open to all) scheduled for this spring: Bodies of Ice welcoming ice artists Élise Vigneron and Néle Azevedo on March 26th, and Pools of Inspiration devoted to performances in public pools with guests Nathalie Pernette, Isabelle Moindrot, and Anne Saubost on April 9th. See the events page on the website for details.

If you would like to be kept abreast of our activities, provide your input, and receive invitations to upcoming events, please visit the site and join the HydroArts mailing list.

With our best wishes for 2026.

Kind regards,
The HydroArts team

Anna
