The Bowdoin College Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater for the 2019-20 academic year, beginning July 1, 2019. We seek a theater scholar/practitioner able to teach energetically and dynamically in the areas of theater history and criticism in a department with a new major that encourages excellence in performance by engaging both theory and practice. The successful candidate will offer fresh, exciting courses in the areas of theater histories and theories as well as courses in one or more areas of specialization (for example: playwriting, directing, performance studies, digital media, or dramaturgy).
