The NYU Department of Performance Studies is seeking applications for one tenure track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2019.

NYU PS was rated #1 in the most recent national ranking of Theater and Performance Studies Ph.D. programs. Our department also hosts a M.A. and a B.A. program.

We seek candidates who can contribute meaningfully to our graduate and undergraduate programs in terms of teaching (four courses per year), advising, curricular development and outstanding research.

The field of specialization is open, but should be directly pertinent to research in areas related to live performance, understood in its broadest sense (whether artistic or “everyday life” enactments).

Ph.D. in Performance Studies or a related field in the humanities and/or the social sciences is required.
