Stanford University's Department of Theater and Performance Studies will host the 19th annual Performance Studies International Conference, June 26-30, 2013. The conference theme, "Now Then: Performance and Temporality" will be present throughout the opening night performance by award-winning choreographer Ann Carlson; three and a half days of panels, roundtables, praxis sessions, and performances; and plenary dialogues featuring scholars and artists. Events will take place in Stanford venues such as the brand new Bing Concert Hall, theaters and black-boxes on campus, and site-specific spaces around the Bay Area. Additionally, the Conference will happen during San Francisco's annual Gay Pride Weekend, and will feature a number of events related to LGBTQ issues.
